Watching tv series at home

When I’m not working, one of my indulgences is watching streaming movies, most of the time; it’s to keep up with the recently shown films that I missed that you won’t normally see on regular television programs, and I don’t really want to spend too much on cable subscription that doesn’t necessarily have the series that I’m looking for. I’m not really after watching the latest movie, most of the time, I’m just looking for the series that’s no longer on air from tv torrents, for example, when I was looking for the show Felicity. It’s like having a cable subscription, only it’s free, and you will have unlimited access anytime you want. These movies can be downloaded and converted to any type of player, like your mp5 or your mobile phones, which is really convenient if you may say so. Now that’s a movie addict! I think, I’ve almost done with the compilation of my favourite shows, the ones that I missed and the ones that I loved watching over and over. Well then, I guess that’s all for now, and I will get a needed shut-eye, we still have class this morning. Happy watching and you all have a good day!

Tuesday Couch Potatoes : Order in the court

I so love this Tuesday Couch Potatoes theme because I’m so into courtroom dramas! I’ve been a fan of The Practice, Law & Order, didn’t really like Ally McBeal (carry!), Judging Amy, & the classic Boston Legal! Of course that in a lot of these scenes, most of them aren’t accurate because each case even if they have similarities varies from each other and considering USA is a big country, each of these states have different judicial procedures. What I love most are the punch lines, and my mind would really go wild in thinking “if it were me, this is what I’m going to say…” it gives me the blood rush, hehehe.

In movies, I think I can say these are my faves:

To Kill A Mockingbird (1962), I have the book and I read it. I give it five glistening stars!

To Kill a Mockingbird

Erin Brockovich (2000), Julia Roberts is just classic, and I liked the spunk of her character Erin.

I long to see this film; Amistad (1997). How cool can Matthew McConaughey get, huh?

And last but not the least; Law Abiding Citizen

Sorry if I had to squirm talking about these lovelies, but hey, I’m a movie fan! :)

Missed the zoo

My bestfriend took her son, Gaeb to the zoo and I regret that I didn’t come along with them. I had all kind of excuses like, I have work today! Ugh!

Anywho, I don’t know if I mentioned this before, you see, I have a love for watching cartoons, specifically the animes. But my bestfriend would always tell me “old school” hmp! That Korean soap lover! :P

Well, this “name calling” came about when we stopped by a store that sells copies of anime series, and I saw the most beautiful and charming character; Akazukin Cha cha! If only they had Candy! Candy! that would make my life complete. I was drooling over it when she popped my balloon “Ay, old school?!” to which I responded a resonating; “Che!”

Here are some scenes that I took from the (not-so) latest Anime DVD I own.

It’s a really funny cartoon and I just couldn’t resist laughing on every scene. I commend the Japanese for coming up with really interesting themes. I will post more of this on my other blog, Cotton Candy Buzz.

Adieu!

Often overlooked Gem!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

My kids and I are avid movie goers. We love to watch movies, whether at the cinema or at home. Most of the time, of course, we don’t really have the time and funding to watch the latest film at the theater and we prefer to look it on the Internet. And I’m telling you, all the trouble I get just to find that movie that they can or would want to watch!

Ondemand

Charter digital offers to ease our busy mommy lives, by offering On Demand, which has a huge collection of over 6,000 movies to watch, and it’s free to access anytime you want! This service is really good for busy moms like us, because we don’t have to go trough the trouble of shifting through collection of old DVD’s just to entertain kids, and you can also spare your ears of the kid’s laments of “We already saw it!” chants, or shell out more than we can spend by purchasing DVD on the mail. I know that some of you might also experienced missing a really good TV show like Heroes! Now, you never have to miss your favorite show, with On Demand, you get to see them even before they are shown on TV, and that’s without having to pay extra! It’s a pretty good savings of time and money

As a busy mom, one of the dilemma’s that I’d have with my small kids is when I need to do something and I want them to divert their attention so I can finish up – and you don’t want to have to argue with children. With On Demand, my children can watch Dora or Spongebob right then and I can continue my chores peacefully.

If you want to start giving yourself a break from too much hassle of just seeing a single movie, you can learn more at charter.net/ondemand by visiting their website, and see for yourself why it’s better to keep things simple.

If you’re a subscriber, you can get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page as well. Just log in to your account and add them to your Facebook list. And since HD is more preferred by a lot of people, you will find that most shows are provided in High Definition TV.

Happy viewing!!

Slowly getting into it and still no internet

Things at the new apartment is getting satisfactory to me. My landlady has now stopped treating me like I’m her bff. I also told her that I’m a bit of anti-social because I’d rather keep to myself and do not engage in gossip, so she started distancing from me. We still talk, and it’s more pleasant now than before. Like I said, it was the impression that she got from how she sees my daughter and me at school (I’m always in my office clothes) that made her think differently of me. But when she started seeing the “domesticated” me, she probably now understands. We met at the wet market today and we shopped for food together.

2477989072_55669fa0ebThe neighbors are usual neighbors, they like to talk and gossip about the other neighbor. I’m not really comfortable with gossip.

My internet connection is still down because of my own fault. I failed to notify Smartbro that I again relocated. It will be back up by next week.

My children are more comfortable with the new apartment, my daughter found playmates. My son still has the same dilemma, no other teenagers to befriend, he’s new to the block of course. We will still strive hard for him to learn to adjust. These are just one of those things that makes him hard to forget about the past, the effects of being in a broken family. He needs a life that’s constant and steadfast.

Although I’m cool about having no internet connection at this time, I’m really going through some sort of a remission.  I’m tempted to check my emails and blog.

Another fascinating experience…Kaye of WAHMaholic reviewed my blog and it’s really interesting to learn more about myself – I need a New Year’s resolution, wahaha! I don’t really like to mince words, and I’m not so much into Hollywood statements.

Having to go to an internet cafe have its perks, I found the New Moon movie and downloaded it to my USB, we’ve watched the forsaken movie since last night and a repeated performance this morning (for breakfast).

I should be back online next week.
