Scheduled post: Your Own Luxurious Treat
Women likes to be pampered, that’s why I liked to be treated nicely. One of the many reasons why I opt for potpourri and why I like to keep my house smelling good despite my constant battle with my children’s clutters is because I want to feel relaxed at my home. This is my dominion and this is my refuge. This is just one of the ways I pamper myself.
A woman, especially once she becomes a wife, mother and a parent, deals with a lot and different kind of stress, from what to cook for breakfast, what her husband wants, and what the children demands of her too. (The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.-1 Corinthians 7:4) And since women have more sense of responsibility (I’m not saying that men doesn’t), they take everything on their shoulders and this can cause frustrations that would lead to their distress at some point, remember the song: “she works hard for the money” by Kris Allen? (“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30).
But, I found a solution for this, some find it in shopping and others find it in eating! Then comes the part of facing more bills because of credit card use, or how to shed from gaining so much weight. In times like these, you can chew a juicy fruit gum or you can DIY! Shredding stress doesn’t need to be spending senselessly, but you can destress at home! You can have your own pampering with products that I can say competitive from the other brands.
Happy Feet.
I recently bought these babies from Hortaleza, it’s a foot spa kit for PHP200.00. What makes it affordable? When you go to a salon for a foot spa, it usually costs PHP99.00, although it comes with a good massage, not most of us, especially working moms have the liberty to always visit a spa, unless you don’t really like talking to your children. This foot spa kit can bring you a long way. This kit comes with a leaflet of how-to. I will post the video of my DIY foot spa on a different post.
Head Turner. One of my worst salon nightmare was when a hair dresser made a mistake of doing a hair relax on me instead of hair spa! The hair dresser was so consumed about their gossip, he just splattered the thing on my head. Moving forward, now, every time I shampoo my hair, I have to use tons of conditioner and a hair tonic just to make it manageable! But a friend suggested this: “if you want a nice hair, you don’t really need hair spa, you can do a hot oil treatment yourself at home! It’s like going to a salon and having a rebond. ” I took her advice and bought this from Hortaleza too for PHP200.00!

It also comes with instructions so you won’t be at loss. The kit is good for 3 hair treatment sessions, so it means it saves you more money to buy food for the table. Yeah, will post the vid on a different entry :p
I know I’m not making any sense right now, probably because I’m too excited.
***This is not a paid advertisement, LOL!

wow, it’s really correct that we need to relax sometime and pamper ourselves. I have tried Hortaleza’s foot spa and it was really relaxing. Now, i am using another set from watson’s which i forgot the name because it’s in our house.
