A bad gift
I would regularly receive a newsletter from Cosmo, most of the time I read the previews and the rest, I don’t, mainly because most of them is useless to me. Something caught my attention though…a poll question.
Would you rather get a bad gift or receive no gift at all?
Interesting. How many of us have received something that we don’t really like or it’s not bad but we don’t have any use for it, or it’s not bad but it’s not what we really want? And most of the time, we end up buying the darn thing for ourselves anyway, to satisfy the yearning.
I know I’m a victim and I’m also guilty of it. But if you’re asking me, I’d rather get a bad gift than not, because as the saying goes, “it’s the thought that counts” and I don’t give or throw away the stuff that’s given to me, they’re my “heirloom” …although there’s this one time that I really threw something away, it was from my ex’s sister. I don’t really remember why, but something triggered it.
